Can you hire Paskapoo Pet Services during the COVID-19 pandemic?

The answer is YES!

Like almost every business in Calgary and across the country, we closed in Mid-March when lockdown measures were announced by our different levels of government. The following months gave us time to not only take a rest, but also to come up with a plan to reopen safely on June 1st for pet sitting and dog walking.

We wear masks at all times!

Following official government health guidelines, we were able to put preventive measures in place to minimize the risks of spread of COVID-19, and to ensure our staff and clients' safety.

As part of our preventive measures, all our staff are now wearing masks and shoe covers during visits, and use generous amounts of hand sanitizer before, during and after each visit. Our staff is also required to self-assess every day, and to self-isolate if they exhibit COVID-19 like symptoms.

To limit unknown exposure to the virus, we are now asking pet sitting clients to not allow any visitors or house guests into their homes during their absence. Boarding drop off and pick up appointments have also been adjusted to limit close proximity contact. We have also transitioned to a completely paper-free process for the onboarding of new clients, and are limiting the time we spend indoors during consultations.

Furthermore, Kathleen also took the opportunity to complete the COVID-19 Certification for Professional Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers, from Pet Sitters International.

So what's next?

We will be reviewing our COVID-19 Measures and Cancellation Policies for December 1st, 2020 and beyond, to reflect the current state of the pandemic and address how we can safely provide services over the Holiday Season.

Although numbers are suggesting that we are now dealing with the Second Wave of COVID-19, new travel destinations are opening up thanks to rapid testing becoming more available. We have a ways to go, but new options are opening up for you to finally take a well-deserved vacation!
